Valerie Hausladen – DaVinci Managing Director - Austin Office

Valerie Hausladen is the Managing Director of the Austin office of WPP’s new global agency, Project DaVinci, which was recently awarded a three-year, $4.5B contract from Dell.

Prior to her role at DaVinci, Valerie had over 20 years experience of making companies and management teams successful. Most recently she was Founder of Edge Communication Group, a leading business and marketing consulting firm. In this role she was hired by Dell as the sole consultant to lead the global agency consolidation and review process, which resulted in the selection of WPP and the creation of DaVinci.

Valerie has proven results in key positions of top-tier organizations such as former President of Tocquigny Advertising, and executive roles with Dell and StorageTek, During her 5 year tenure at Tocquigny, she oversaw a 4x growth in revenue and the addition of several global accounts including Dell, Seagate, Caterpillar, AMD and Symbol Technologies.

Before joining Tocquigny, Valerie was Director of Marketing for Dell Higher Education and Dell Public – a $10B Sector that markets globally to Education, Government and Healthcare customers. She developed a comprehensive integrated marketing plan, which was nationally recognized as a best practice within Dell and as a Top 3 Marketing best practice by B-to-B Magazine. During this time, Dell became recognized as #1 in Education.

Prior to joining Dell, Valerie was head of Marketing for StorageTek. In this role, she oversaw a global agency review process and the launch of a new corporate identity and a multi-million dollar brand advertising campaign simultaneously in 20+ countries worldwide.

Valerie is a graduate from Stanford University and has recently served on the Board of Directors for the Miracle Foundation, the American Red Cross, and the marketing committee for the People’s Community Clinic. In addition, she has written a book called Professional Destiny soon to be published that is geared towards helping professionals find and use their gifts in their career.
